-LB (Luria-Bertani) plates are most common plate used in Bio-Labs, which contain 1% trytone, 0.5% yeast extract, 1.0% NaCI, and 1.5% agar unless otherwise indicated. LB medium is adjusted to a final pH of 7.0 unless otherwise indicated. All plates are tested with at least 4 different recombinant strains of E. coli to demonstrate the efficacy of the antibiotics and colorimetric indicators contained within. All plates are shelf-life dated and guaranteed for 4 weeks from the date of shipment. All plates must be stored at 4oC and in the absence of continuous exposure to light. With proper storage: most antibiotic plates are useable for up to 2 months. All media are available in 100mm, 150mm round plates, 60mm Contact plates, and 100mm plates. Other sizes of plates are available upon request.
-LB agar plates with 100µg/ml ampicillin, and 1.0% glucose.
-Applications: For use with ampicillin resistant strains and strains harboring plasmids such as pBluescript, pGEM, pUC series plasmids. Usede as a substitute for LB Agar when the media cannot contain any animal products.
